You’re right in the middle of implementing the space management strategy when…

  • the economy nosedives
  • a corporate acquisition is made
  • your company is bought out by another
  • one of the business divisions or subsidiaries is sold

This is where the flexibility of your strategy becomes relevant. You go back to the drawing board to try and incorporate the new information into the plan. Depending on the magnitude of the changes you may be able to massage the original strategy, or find yourself on an entirely new trajectory.

Either way, you’re back at the Strategy step. It’s a cycle: Strategize, Implement, Adjust, Strategize, Implement, Adjust. Once you get in the groove you’ll find managing your corporate space needs becomes a much easier task.
